The lessons at Philippa Revis Piano Studio ensure a comprehensive teaching method that trains students to read music, develop their technique, rhythm, and tone quality as well as theoretical knowledge, in order to play beautifully and become confident performers.

Lessons suitable for students of all ages and skill levels.
For younger students, learning the piano has a positive effect on brain development. Piano is aligned with improved memory, and developing mathematic, social, creative, reading and comprehension skills. In other words, playing piano encourages your child to use their brain, their physical coordination and their creativity all at the same time.

Once students have developed their skills further, they can gain qualifications and sit for music exams. School students can also prepare for HSC Music.

Under Philippa’s tutelage, her students have all achieved very high results with the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). They have also benefitted from the great working relationship they have with her which has proven to be immensely beneficial to their overall development.

For adults, Philippa offers a creative outlet by either starting as a beginner or improving upon your former skills. Lessons may involve the opportunity to play duets, help you make arrangements and/or record you playing your favourite pieces, or for you simply to be able to play without any pressure and for the pure joy of it. Playing the Piano as an adult is a fantastic challenge and a deeply enriching hobby.

I sought Philippa's expertise to help unravel some of the poor habits that I had developed over the years with my piano technique.

I found Philippa's passion for teaching refreshing. Her professional guidance is awash with clarity and inspiration, wit and humour.

I always felt that I departed her lessons a little smarter than when I arrived.

She indoctrinated mindfulness in practice, and I will forever hear her encouraging voice inside my head saying, "It won't happen overnight mister, but it will happen!"
